are requesting letters of interest and qualifications from
artists interested in creating site specific art for this
first facility on the new campus in the Thanksgiving Point
development area of North Utah Valley in Lehi, Utah. Project

New
Library in Denver, CO - Deadline: March 12, 2010
The
Denver Office of Cultural Affairs (DOCA) seeks to commission
an artist or team of artists to create site-specific artwork
for the Stapleton Branch Library, a new facility being built
at Roslyn Dr. and 29th Avenue. The funding currently designated
for public art at the site is $85,000 including design,
fabrication and installation. However, additional funds
may be available, depending where and how the artwork is
integrated into the structure and design of the building.
The project is open to all artists in the U.S. working in
all media and materials. Applications must be submitted

by 5:00 pm on March 12, 2010.

Police Crime Lab in Denver, CO - Deadline: March 26
The
Denver Office of Cultural Affairs (DOCA) seeks to commission
one or more artists or teams of artists to create site-specific
artwork for a new state-of-the-art Police Crime Lab. The
new facility will occupy a prominent corner in the Golden
Triangle / Civic Center neighborhood at 14th Avenue and
Cherokee Street. The funding currently designated for public
art at the site is approximately $330,000 including design,
fabrication, potential lighting and installation. The project
is open to all artists in the U.S. working in a variety
of media and materials. Applications must be submitted on

by 5:00 pm MST on March 26, 2010.

RFQ
for 14th St. Corridor in Denver, CO - Deadline: March
26
The
Denver Office of Cultural Affairs (DOCA) seeks to commission
one or more artists (or teams of artists) to create site-specific
artwork to enhance and activate a one-mile stretch of streetscape
along 14th Street, in downtown Denver, CO. This stretch,
from Market Street to Colfax Avenue, will become a primary
pedestrian zone connecting Lower Downtown (LoDo), the Denver
Theatre District, and the Golden Triangle cultural district
and Civic Center. Plans are underway to widen the sidewalks
on the north side of the street and encourage more restaurants,
entertainment and retail along the street. Street improvements
such as benches, planters, new signage, lighting and traffic
controls are included in the scope of this project. Ultimately,
these improvements will encourage a lively and activated
pedestrian destination, and the artwork should complement
and augment these efforts. The budget for this project is
approximately $180,000. Applications must be submitted on

Bingham
Entrepreneurship & Energy Research Center, USU: April
1
Letters
of interest and qualifications are requested from artists
interested in creating site specific art for the traffic
circle "gateway" of the public access road to the new Bingham
Entrepreneurship and Energy Research Center (BEERC) on the
regional campus of Utah State University in Vernal. At present
the site is rural, however, this traffic circle “gateway”
is the entry point for what will become a major campus with
high volume of community and student traffic. As possible
sources of inspiration and context, the committee will invite
finalist artists to consider the purpose of this facility,
its contributions to the community, the architecture, the
community of Unitah basin and the City of Vernal, and/or
the geology of the area. Project specifics (RFQ) are available

Buffaloe Road Aquatic Center Raleigh, North Carolina Deadline:
April 9
The City
of Raleigh invites artists who are US citizens to submit
qualifications to provide site-specific public art for Raleigh's
new Buffaloe Road Aquatic Center. This new recreational
swimming facility will be a regional destination located
within an 167-acre park that includes a half dozen athletic
fields and hiking trails, wetlands, and, in the near future,
connection to a greenway along the Neuse River. The project
budget is $70,000 inclusive of all expenses including design,
fabrication, installation, travel, taxes and fees. Qualifications
must be submitted via CaFE www.callforentry.org
by 5 p.m. E.D.T. on Friday, April 9, 2010. There is no fee

Charlotte,
NC – Deadline: open
Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS)
is seeking professional artists for design collaborations
and/ or public art commissions for its Art-in Transit Program.
Over the next few years, Charlotte is building a rapid transit
system and will incorporate public art into its stations,
park and rides, and maintenance facilities and has allocated
$2.3 million for art. Design fees range from $5,000-$25,000:
commissions rom $25,000-$250,000. In preparation for Phase
I and subsequent phases, artists are requested to submit
their materials to a new slide registry that will be used
to make selections of artists as the system is phased in.

a 22,000 acre working cattle ranch in the foothills of Wyoming’s
Bighorn Mountains, the Foundation provides individual workspace,

of the historic High Plains landscape to selected writers,
artists, and composers working in all disciplines. There

TUCSON,

Live at the Hope VI Art & Culture Partnership- the City
of Tucson and the South Park Neighborhood have developed
an opportunity for artists to live, work and contribute
to the cultural vibrancy of the south Park area. An art
and cultural facility has been developed from a pre-existing
five-plex housing unit and is devoted to fostering and promoting
arts and culture in the South Park neighborhood and surrounding
areas. The center includes two buildings and an outdoor
courtyard for classes, workshops, lectures and exhibits.
In addition the facility includes two renovated apartment
units. We are currently accepting apartment rental applications
from working artists. Metropolitan Housing Corporation (MHC)
is the facility manager of the complex and occupies an office

The Arizona Commission on the Arts is developing a list
of artists who are blind or visually impaired for a future
art activity. The different areas of art include but are
not limited to paint, ceramic, woodwork, metal work, literature
(writing poetry, fiction, etc.), music (writing, performing
instruments, singing, etc.), theater, dance, etc. They don't
have to be professional artists, but they have to consider
themselves good in whatever they do. If you are a blind/visually
